TOTAL ‘Upstream’ Nigeria – France, South Korea and Nigeria Project : AKPO FPSO Project
The AKPO field is located about 150km south of Port Harcourt, Nigeria in 1300 to 1450 metres of water and covers an area of 2590 square kilometres. The field is operated by Total Upstream Nigeria with partners Nigeria National Petroleum Company, South Atlantic Petroleum and BRASPETRO.
Delton Training Services was awarded the contract by TOTAL to design, develop and produce a complete competency-based training and assessment programme, that included the writing of the specific plant operating procedures – HSE procedures, start-up & shut-down and ‘FPSO specific’ procedures and permits to work (PTW), as a key component to assuring competency skills within the Nigerian workforce operating the FPSO.
TOTAL specified that all training materials meet their global quality standards, be ‘fit for purpose’, job-related and in-line with TOTAL’s specific training needs for this project.
Delton Training Services specialists also produced operating manuals, applied to each of the operator processes.
Delton Training Services team comprised:- Technical Documentation Specialists, Classroom and OJT Instructors. Training Material Production, Classroom and OJT Training for TOTAL employees and newly hired and experienced Nigerian operators.
