Location – Milford Haven, Wales, UK.
Introduction
Delton was contracted to Dragon LNG in Milford Haven to deliver a series of Operations and Maintenance Front Line Supervisor Training Programmes. The Programme was designed and developed by Delton and delivered on-site at Dragon LNG site.
Programme Objectives
To help Supervisors:
- Understand and relate to the practical actions, accountabilities, and behaviours expected as a front-line supervisor/ lead technician
- Understand the skills needed to move from individual contributor to team leader
- Understand as a supervisor what is expected from your team
- Understand business priorities
- Deepen individual insights into own leadership style and how it can be improved
- Recognise the importance of having effective Operational Management Standards (OMS) that can help get things done correctly, every time
- Examine and practice techniques for motivation, conflict resolution, planning and scheduling
- Understand the importance of sharing knowledge and expertise within the organisation, and build a network of cross functional peers
- Understand workplace competence assurance and assessment processes (CAMS)
HSSE Essentials
To help delegates:
- Understand the management of health and safety – what the organisation is required to do, and how and support
- Understand Safe systems of work and responsibilities, as a supervisor
- Understand the importance of safety leadership and how actions influence the team’s risk taking behaviour
- Understand HSSE legislation and how this impacts on day-to-day supervision
- Understand ‘Chronic Unease’ and how it is safely managed
